Our story
About the foundation.
Bringing hope, education and opportunity to talented girls in rural Zimbabwe.
Why we exist
Every girl has
potential.
Young girls in rural areas face numerous challenges that hinder their access to quality education. Many miss school because of heavy home duties tied to cultural expectations, long distances they must walk and period poverty, which leaves them without necessary sanitary supplies. Geographical isolation can also affect their confidence and self esteem.
The Jeffrey Takawira Foundation was created to bring hope and support to these girls, helping them achieve their dreams. One of the foundation’s key initiatives is the Rose Joshua Girl Child School, which is dedicated to fully supporting and funding the education of girls in these communities.
